Jump Starting Boys is a must read for any parents of boys, especially tween and teen boys. Myself, I have 5 boys and it always felt like I had unanswered questions, and it probably always will, but I was quiet surprised by how many of my questions were answered in this one book and how this book makes things like school and life seem much easier for a Parent and a Teen to conquer.

Why is your smart, perceptive son suddenly struggling at school? Are daily arguments about homework turning your home into a battle zone? It is no secret boys are falling behind girls in education, with fewer young men graduating from high school and enrolling in college every year. I was given this book to read and review and was not really sure what to expect. I found many great tips, especially on the education level which is where I spend a lot of time focusing on with our boys. I want them to do well in school and better themselves with college and so on, and was running out of ideas on how to encourage them. Jump-Starting Boys gave me such great advice that Chase has seen a huge improvement in his grades these past 4 weeks and I am impressed.

I am an avid reader, but honestly don't normally read many self-help books, which is what I would consider this to be, but this is a book that I think will stay dog-eared close by at all times for me to read over and over again as we still have 2 Teenage boys at home.

I know this  book is mainly for boys but several of the principals can also be applied to girls and I am using those that I feel can be with Cassie as well.

Overall, I would give this book a 5 star rating and highly recommend that parents of boys grab a copy for themselves and make sure to read it and keep it close by because you will find it to be a helpful and fun resource that you can always refer back to and know you are making good decisions as well as helping your sons to make good decisions.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
