National Non- GMO Month : Win a case of Probars

11:19 AM

I am really big on not keeping sugar and unhealthy snacks in my house. Most of you know Cassie cannot have many sugars and GMO"s and we strive to find products that she will like  and yet can still eat and enjoy. This is actually harder thanit should be, especially with all the Candy on the market.

With Halloween fast approaching, I have to try to find things to replace 90% of her candy in her trick or treat bag with so that she can still enjoy it. I only allow her to keep 10 % of what she ends up with and we donate the remaining candy in favor of putting healthier Non GMO products in her stash. She used to get upset but now that we are finding healthy alternatives such as Probars, she actually enjoys trick or treating and giving her candy away knowing she has plenty of goodies coming to her. I think now for her, it's more of the fact of getting to Trick or Treat than it is the Candy itself.

PROBAR ( is proud to be a Platinum sponsor of Non-GMO Month. The prevalence of GMO's in our food system is ultimately up to us (consumers) to demand increased transparency and national labeling for GMO products. Especially with Halloween later this month, it's time for us to think more critically about what we're encouraging our children to eat:
