Campus Book Rentals & Operation Smile!

10:49 AM

Okay, So I have to admit, I am super amazed at how expensive College Text Books have become.  I remember the days when they were about a third of what they cost now and you could even borrow them on many occasions.

Disclaimer: I have been compensated for my time fo rthis review, however, all opinions are my own

In doing a little bit of research, i came across Campus Book Rentals, which actually allows you to borrow the books you need for a nominal cost, around 40 % to 90 %  less than anywhere else I could find. As most of you know, I had two boys Graduate High school last year, one enlisted in the Army, the other has made a choice to go t college, so we started doing our homework.

I have by far come to the conclusion that Campus Book Rentals is the way to go, and just to give you an idea of the great perks you can get from renting from them , I'll highlight a few of the main advantages

-save 40-90% off of bookstore prices
-free shipping both ways
-can highlight in the textbooks
-flexible renting periods
-they donate to Operation Smile with each textbook rented

Now, notice the last point I just made, that they donate to Operation Smile with each text Book rented. For me, that is a huge plus because I am a firm believer in giving back.  If you are not familiar with Operation Smile, Through June 2014, CampusBookRentals has made a minimum commitment to contribute 80 more surgeries, but that's just a minimum! They hope to contribute much more. Specifically, they are  contributing to Operation Smile in two ways: First, they have  made the minimum commitment as mentioned above. And second, through RentBack, they  provide students the opportunity to direct any portion of their earnings to Operation Smile directly from their RentBack account. RentBack is a powerful program that puts money into student's pockets. They are now offering  the tools to allow each  students to contribute directly through this powerful program.
Although that is not my main  goal in looking for text books to rent, it sure does add brownie points to the already great advantages I have found with them so far.

Want to understand a little bit more of how it works? Take a look at this video below and see for yourself not only how easy they make it, but how beneficial it would be for all college students and parents out there

You can also rent back your books and sell your books with Campus Book Rentals. The New RentBack program is simply pretty awesome if you ask me. RentBack is new initiative that allows students to rent the textbooks they own - to other students... which is awesome because it makes them 2-4x more money compared to what they'd make through buyback options! (selling their books back at the end of the semester) Isn't that awesome?
They have the largest selection in the nation with a 21 day risk free return policy which is more than any other company that I personally could find out there.
Forbes Magazine even named them as one of the most promising companies out there and they have been featured in Newsweek, the New York Times and The wall Street Journal, as well as several other well known publications.
In my research I looked at the cost of one book that you can download to your e-reader from another company then compared that cost to the price of renting the exact same text book from Campus Book Rentals and found that it was 43 % lower to rent the book from Campus Book Rentals than it was to Download it to your e-reader, so that alone should tell you how much of a savings you can get as a student.
So hop on over to Campus Book Rentals, Sell your Books, Rentback your Books and get the books you need for your new Semester all in one place. It doesn't get much easier than that!
